I love the poem! These forms look so natural here now--like lichen of some kind.

I really like how these have decayed. I think they're beautiful because they are mysterious. When you see things decayed you think about the life story behind the object and that need for storytelling is a clasic primal urge and I love that. ... Reacting to these objects' decay can be translating to human aging. We think the aged are finished with their outward beauty deminished, but really their experience and life stories make a person more beautiful.
